Reiki: Japanese word for Universal Life Force Energy

Reiki, pronounced "ray-key", is an internationally recognized Japanese method of revitalizing, restoring, balancing and healing body/mind/spirit.  It is one of the most effective, natural methods available today for stress release.  Reiki assists in balancing energies on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual levels.  It is a gentle, non-intrusive, technique that will allow you to have relaxation and balance in minutes, simply by bringing this energy in.

Dr. Mikao Usui (1865-1925) rediscovered the ancient healing powers of Reiki in the late 1800's.  Due to his commitment and dedication to healing, we in the Western World are fortunate to now be able to experience this Divine energy.

Reiki works as a catalyst for change, bringing to the surface those aspects of life which are blocking our spiritual progress.  Sometimes this can seem a challenging process, but it is always beneficial, as Reiki is divinely guided, and always works for our highest and greatest good.

Because Reiki is guided by the Higher Intelligence (the Source, God, Holy Spirit, Supreme Being or whatever name you choose to call it), it therefore adjusts to suit each person, so everyone's experience of a Reiki treatment is slightly different.

Many people drawn to Reiki are in search of harmony and relaxation, or are seeking an increased sense of vitality of spiritual growth.  A Reiki session leaves a person filled with a sensation of peace, vitality and joy.  The healing and harmonizing effects of Reiki involve both the practitioner and the person receiving it.

The practise of Reiki does not require any special faith or belief.  It is used with the same success by people of many different faiths and religions which speaks for its universality.
